Hat-trick from the under fire Heung Min Son lit up Gameweek 8! Gašper was rewarded for believing in the South Korean and see him grabs the top spot of GW8 with 100 points.
 


Q: What was your thought process and preparation for GW8

A: Using wildcard would be a lot of changes to my existing team especially it involves removing Mo Salah, therefore I have chosen to use free hit to get players from dominating teams like Tottenham, City, Arsenal and Newcastle instead. I’ve also noticed Pickford not being selected for England international and therefore I picked up Begović to free up some funds for other positions

Q: You’ve brought in 11 players with your free hit card including the crucial Heung Min Son. Why did you pick Son over the likes of KDB?

A: I went for Son mainly for the GW8 fixture as KDB will be playing against Wolves which has a better defensive record. Man City midfielders are all quality players with equal chances of scoring point and therefore I’ve selected Bernardo Silva which worked out for me. I’ve been monitoring Son and knew he would explode at some point, I was even going to captain him but was reluctant to the news of him being benched

Q: Do you think Son will be the player to keep from now on since he is back on the score sheet?

A: Son is one of my favourite plays and I would love to keep him. But at this moment I would much prefer to use the budget to keep Haaland, Kane and Salah
