22/23 FPL GW2 is probably one of the hardest tough week for captaincy pick! Erling Haaland against Bournemouth and Mo Salah against Crystal Palace are very tempting, however, it was Gabriel Jesus with 2 goals 2 assist and 3 bonus points that stole the spotlight! Q: What was your strategy for GW2?
A: I made sure to stay away from any Manchester United players as the team is in very poor form even thou their fixture against Brentford was not too bad on paper. Selecting Jesus as my captain and focusing on attacking wingbacks have earned me a lot of points this week
Q: What is your plan for GW3?
A: Betting against Manchester United would be a logical choice given their current form and past record against Liverpool, Salah will be my captain of GW3. Ivan Perišić would be transfer out this week as he has not been playing as much as I’v expected
Q: You have 2 premium players in your GW2 team (Kane, Salah) Salah has a great scoring record against Crystal Palace, 8 Games: 7G / 6A, which makes him perfect captain choice. Why did you choose to give captaincy to Jesus instead?
A: Jesus is in form has been playing better than a lot of premium players in the league. I feel Arsenal’s attacking system really depends on Jesus in both building up and finishing. Harry Kane was going to play against Chelsea and I believed Tottenham would not get many chances in that match. Salah was the only competitor for captaincy but his scoring chances depends on his attacking partner (Firmino / Nuñez) Also considering Luis Diaz is a great individual player which could cost Salah’s scoring opportunities
